A predictive model for personalization of nanotechnology -based phototherapy in cancer treatment
Eli Varon*, Gaddi Blumrosen*, and Orit Shefi, A predictive model for personalization of nanotechnology-based phototherapy in cancer treatment, January 2023, Frontiers in Oncology , DOI: 10.3389/fonc.2022.1037419
A major challenge in radiation oncology is the prediction and optimization of clinical responses in a personalized manner. In this paper we bring new computational model and machine learning techniques to assess cancer treatment efficiency as function of the treatment setup. We model the effect of single and multiple treatments.
This research was performed in collaboration with Bar Ilan University
Towards automated recognition of facial expressions in animal models
Blumrosen, Gaddi, David Hawellek, and Bijan Pesaran. "Towards automated recognition of facial expressions in animal models." Proceedings of the IEEE International Conference on Computer Vision Workshops. 2017.
New way to understand animals behaviors by examining with simple video recording their facial and body expressions. Research was performed in NYU computational neuroscience department and presented in ICCV conference
A real-time kinect signature-based patient home monitoring system
Blumrosen, G., Miron, Y., Intrator, N., & Plotnik, M. (2016). A real-time kinect signature-based patient home monitoring system. Sensors, 16(11), 1965.
Monitoring patient condition is important for many applications, in particular for monitoring elderly population, and neurological diseases patients at home settings while performing daily life activities. In this paper, in collaboration with Tel-Hahomer hospital, we showed how we can use for this simple Kinect camera
Advanced multi-mutation with intervention policies pandemic model
Lazebnik, Teddy, and Gaddi Blumrosen. "Advanced multi-mutation with intervention policies pandemic model." IEEE Access 10 (2022): 22769-22781.
During the Covid-19 Pandemic, we tried to join efforts and contribute to the general efforts by deploying enhanced modeling, immunological priors , and enhanced machine learning models to improve prediction of epidemiological parameters to assist policy makers in their decisions
Back to finger-writing: Fingertip writing technology based on pressure sensing
Blumrosen, G., Sakuma, K., Rice, J. J., & Knickerbocker, J. (2020). Back to finger-writing: Fingertip writing technology based on pressure sensing. IEEE Access, 8, 35455-35468.
New way of writing and communicating with your finger with smart pressure sensor, enhanced signal processing and machine learning techniques.
Research was performed in IBM research labs
Human body parts tracking and kinematic features assessment based on RSSI and inertial sensor measurements
G Blumrosen, A Luttwak, Human body parts tracking and kinematic features assessment based on RSSI and inertial sensor measurements, Sensors 2013 (9), 11289-11313
New way to enhance the accuracy of inertial sensors by using properties of radiation of the sensors. This enable to remove accumulating bias when the sensors are used on human body to assess his movement
Enhancing Healthcare Quality with Reinforcement Learning Modeling

Blumrosen, Gaddi. "Enhancing healthcare quality with reinforcement learning modeling." 2019 IEEE SENSORS. IEEE, 2019.
New way to enhance the accuracy of medical treatment by using reinforcment learning model and model two agents: human body natural agent, and medical treatment agent. This new model enable to revoltionize the medical world analytics and provide tools to predict treatment design and chances of success
